How to cancel autopay on a credit card

Most “card autopay” for Netflix, gyms, insurance, cloud storage, and similar subscriptions is an RBI-style e-mandate (standing instruction) on your credit or debit card. Banks surface those mandates on BillDesk’s SI Hub (sihub.in) or, for some issuers, Razorpay MandateHQ. This guide is the bank-by-bank list of portals and the cancel steps.
SI Hub cancels merchant charges on the card. It does not cancel auto-debit of your credit-card bill from a savings account (NACH / e-NACH). Bill autopay is turned off in the issuer app, netbanking, or a separate NACH cancel form. Also cancel the subscription inside the merchant app when you can—otherwise they may keep billing another card on file.

How to cancel on SI Hub (most banks)
- Open your bank’s SI Hub URL from the table above. Continue usually leads to Sign up / Login.
- Sign up once with name, email, and a password, or log in if you already created an SI Hub user ID.
- Add / authenticate the card: enter the full card number, complete captcha, approve the small verification charge (often ₹2, reversed), and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile.
- Open Merchant e-Mandates / Standing Instructions and find the merchant you want to stop.
- Choose Cancel (or modify amount / end date if you only need a change). Confirm with OTP when asked.
- Keep the on-screen or SMS confirmation. Also cancel or remove the card inside the merchant app so they do not re-register a new mandate.
Under RBI rules you usually get a pre-debit notification about 24 hours before the charge. That SMS/email often includes a link to pause, modify, or cancel that specific debit or the whole mandate—useful if SI Hub login is failing the day before a charge.
Axis Bank
Axis publishes SI Hub for card standing instructions at https://www.sihub.in/managesi/axisbank. Use it for merchant e-mandates on Axis credit and debit cards.
- Open the Axis SI Hub link and continue to Sign up / Login.
- Authenticate the Axis card with OTP (verification charge may apply and reverse).
- Under merchant standing instructions, select the mandate → Cancel → confirm OTP.
- Optional alternate: Axis Mobile / netbanking → Payments or Bill Pay → Manage Auto Pay for bank-side autopay setups (separate from some merchant SIs).
HDFC Bank
Direct SI Hub: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/hdfcbank. Official path many customers use: hdfcbank.com → Login → Merchant Standing Instructions → Continue (redirects to SI Hub).
- Open SI Hub (direct link or via HDFC Login → Merchant Standing Instructions).
- Sign up / log in, add the HDFC card, complete OTP authentication.
- Cancel the mandate from the merchant list.
- If SI Hub shows “Invalid details” or will not load mandates (a frequent complaint), cancel on the merchant site and email both the merchant and HDFC with the mandate/SiHub ID from the pre-debit SMS.
ICICI Bank
ICICI runs two portals. Check the Mandate ID in your registration or pre-debit SMS/email: if it starts with “IC”, use MandateHQ; otherwise use SI Hub. ICICI states it will not cancel mandates on your behalf—you must use these portals.
- SI Hub: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/icici — for non-IC mandate IDs.
- MandateHQ: https://icici.mandatehq.com/login — when Mandate ID begins with IC.
- Log in with card number, view mandates, Cancel or modify, confirm OTP.
- Remember: Pause / Opt-out is temporary; Cancel is what permanently stops the mandate.
SBI Card vs SBI Bank
SBI Card credit cards use SBI Card’s own recurring-payments flow (https://www.sbicard.com/emandates), which signs you into the SBI Card account—not the BillDesk SI Hub slug used for SBI bank debit cards.
- SBI Card: open https://www.sbicard.com/emandates → log in → review recurring / e-mandate list → cancel the merchant → confirm.
- SBI debit cards: use https://www.sihub.in/managesi/sbi (also reachable from SBI’s e-mandate FAQs).
- After cancel, remove the card from the merchant app and watch the next billing cycle.
Kotak Mahindra Bank
- Open https://www.sihub.in/managesi/kotak (also linked from Kotak’s recurring-payments / subscriptions pages).
- Sign up or log in, authenticate the Kotak card.
- In Merchant e-Mandates Summary, open the subscription → Cancel → enter remarks → confirm OTP.
- Use View Inactive e-Mandate later if you need proof a mandate was cancelled.
YES Bank, IDFC FIRST, IndusInd, RBL, AU
- YES Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/yesbank
- IDFC FIRST Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/idfcfirstbank
- IndusInd Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/indusind
- RBL Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/rblbank
- AU Small Finance Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/aubank
- For each: Sign up / Login → authenticate card → Cancel mandate → OTP. Same SI Hub UX as Axis/Kotak.
Bank of Baroda / BOBCARD
- Open https://www.sihub.in/managesi/bankofbaroda
- Create or use your SI Hub login, authenticate the BoB / BOBCARD card.
- Cancel the merchant e-mandate and confirm via OTP.
American Express India
Amex documents SI Hub under Ways to pay. The Manage SI flow goes through Amex’s disclaimer page to https://www.sihub.in/managesi/amex. Help page: https://www.americanexpress.com/en-in/services/ways-to-pay/sihub/
- Open Amex SI Hub (direct amex path or via Amex Manage SI).
- Sign up with email as user ID, verify email, then Add New Card and complete the ₹2 OTP authentication.
- Edit end date / amount, pause for one month, or Cancel the mandate.
- Separate topic: Autopay of your Amex bill from a bank account is NACH—cancel that via Amex’s NACH cancel form or customer care, not SI Hub.
HSBC India
HSBC credit-card e-mandates use Razorpay MandateHQ, not BillDesk SI Hub: https://hsbc.mandatehq.com (official HSBC e-mandates pages).
- Sign up on https://hsbc.mandatehq.com with mobile and email.
- Register the HSBC credit card so mandates appear in one place.
- Pause, resume, or cancel mandates with OTP as prompted (also used to approve higher-value debits).
- Older standing instructions set inside HSBC Personal Internet Banking on a savings/current account are managed in HSBC netbanking, not MandateHQ.
Standard Chartered, Federal, and other banks
- Standard Chartered: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/scb
- Federal Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/federal
- Canara Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/canara
- PNB: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/pnb
- Union Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/unionbank
- Indian Bank: https://www.sihub.in/managesi/indianbank
- Steps match the generic SI Hub flow above. If your bank is missing, search the issuer site for “standing instructions”, “e-mandate”, or “SI Hub”, or use the pre-debit SMS link.
If cancel fails
- Cancel inside the merchant app/website and remove the saved card.
- Use the modify/cancel link in the pre-debit notification before the charge posts.
- Try adding the card again on SI Hub after waiting; some banks’ SI Hub sign-ups are flaky after the ₹2 auth.
- Closed or replaced cards: inactive-card mandates often cannot be cancelled on SI Hub—cancel at the merchant; closed cards should stop new debits.
- Escalate with mandate ID / SiHub ID to merchant support and issuer support; keep screenshots of failed cancel attempts.
Before you close a credit card
Export statements, clear dues, cancel every active SI Hub / MandateHQ mandate, remove the card from merchants, and only then submit the card closure request. Cancel every mandate before you submit the closure request.
