What is a standing instruction?
A standing instruction (SI) is permission you give for money to leave your card or bank account on a repeating schedule—OTT subscriptions, insurance premiums, gym fees, and similar bills. After RBI’s e-mandate rules, card-based SIs show up on issuer portals where you can cancel them yourself.
Card SI vs bill autopay
- Merchant SI / e-mandate on the card: managed on SI Hub or MandateHQ.
- Credit-card bill autopay from a savings account: usually NACH / e-NACH, cancelled in the issuer app or a bank form—not on SI Hub.
