Club ITC

ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, at night — Club ITC

A complete guide to joining Club ITC, earning Green Points, climbing elite tiers, using Culinaire, and redeeming stays.

What Club ITC is

Club ITC is the loyalty programme for ITC Hotels and several sister brands in India. You earn Green Points on eligible stays and spends, climb tiers with nights or rupee spends in a calendar year, and redeem for Reward Nights, dining, spa, and other hotel value.

Club ITC is often the domestic hotel programme that is easiest to understand. Official materials describe Green Points simply: earn a percentage of eligible spend, and 1 Green Point is worth ₹1 at participating hotels. If most of your nights are inside India at ITC properties, this can beat collecting a global hotel currency you rarely use.

Brands under the umbrella

  • ITC Hotels
  • Mementos
  • Epiq Collection
  • Welcomhotel
  • Storii
  • Fortune Hotels
  • WelcomHeritage (participation can differ; confirm for your hotel)

Not every property joins every benefit equally. Always check that your hotel is a participating Club ITC hotel before you plan around points or vouchers.

How to join

  1. Enrol free on the Club ITC section of ITC Hotels’ site or app.
  2. Save your membership number and keep your name consistent with your ID.
  3. Add the number on every eligible booking before check-in.
  4. Prefer direct or member rates when you want the stay to earn.

How Green Points work

  • You earn Green Points as a percentage of eligible spend. Higher tiers earn more.
  • Eligible spend is usually the hotel bill amount after excluding taxes, discounts, and similar items. Confirm the current definition in Club ITC terms.
  • 1 Green Point is designed to equal ₹1 of value at participating hotels.
  • For active members, points are described as not expiring. Still keep the account active with real hotel activity.
  • You can often settle eligible hotel spends against Green Points instantly at participating properties.

Elite tiers

Tiers are based on eligible nights or spends in one calendar year. Either path can qualify you. Thresholds below follow ITC’s published membership benefits grid and can change.

TierRough qualificationGreen Point earn on eligible spendWhy beginners care
MemberOn enrolment2%Free start; member rates and base earn
Silver6 nights or about ₹60,000 spend4%Late checkout and early voucher stack
Gold16 nights or about ₹160,000 spend6%Stronger upgrades and stay perks
Platinum30 nights or about ₹300,000 spend8%Lounge access as a resident guest, richer vouchers
Platinum SelectPlatinum for 5 years plus high lifetime-style spend8%Long-term recognition tier

Higher tiers add late checkout, room or suite upgrades when available, reservation guarantees, spouse room rules, lounge access at some hotels, and tier upgrade or retention vouchers. Many soft benefits are subject to availability. Ask the hotel before arrival if an upgrade or late checkout matters to you.

Milestone rewards

On top of tier benefits, Club ITC publishes milestone vouchers as you hit eligible night counts in the same calendar year. Examples discussed on the official benefits page include dining savings, room upgrades, stay credits, and complimentary nights at higher milestones. Rollover nights usually do not count toward milestones, so confirm before you rely on last year’s leftover nights.

Culinaire subscription

Culinaire is now positioned as a paid dining subscription rather than only a free loyalty add-on. Plans can add dining savings, extra Green Point earn on eligible dining, and curated benefits such as free nights or gourmet experiences depending on the plan you buy.

  • Useful if you already dine at participating ITC restaurants often enough to use the benefits.
  • Multi-year plans and spouse add-ons may exist. Read the current Culinaire page before paying.
  • Do not buy Culinaire only because the marketing looks rich. Run the voucher and dining maths for your city.

How to redeem

  1. Use Green Points for Reward Nights where the points cost beats the cash rate after taxes.
  2. Settle dining, spa, or stay bills with points when the hotel allows instant redemption.
  3. Track voucher expiry from tier upgrades and milestones. Unused vouchers are a common loss.
  4. Compare member rates plus points against public cash rates before you force a redemption.

Practical tips

  • Club ITC is strongest when your travel pattern is heavy at ITC, Welcomhotel, and related brands.
  • Business travellers should confirm whether the company rate still earns Green Points and nights.
  • Meetings and events can also earn Green Points under published rules. Useful if you book corporate events at ITC.
  • Keep one membership. Duplicate accounts make missing credit harder to fix.
  • Credit cards matter mainly as the payment method on eligible hotel spend. Club ITC is not primarily a bank-points transfer programme like Accor or Marriott.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Assuming every ITC-family hotel participates the same way.
  • Ignoring voucher expiry after a tier upgrade.
  • Chasing Platinum when Silver or Gold already covers the perks you use.
  • Buying Culinaire without checking participating restaurants near you.
  • Comparing Club ITC only to Accor or Marriott without asking where you actually sleep.

Simple starter plan

  1. Join Club ITC and add the number on your next eligible ITC stay.
  2. Track nights and spends toward Silver only if the perks matter for your travel year.
  3. Redeem Green Points where 1 point for about ₹1 clearly beats cash.
  4. Add Culinaire later only if your dining pattern pays for the subscription.
