Reward Structure
The campaign has three stackable reward tiers:
- Base 0.5% reward: Earn 0.5% on every eligible in-person POS purchase or ATM cash withdrawal in the select destinations. Example: a USD 100 ATM withdrawal in the US earns about USD 0.50 in reward value (converted to INR at the VisaNet settlement rate).
- Additional 10% reward: Earn an extra 10% on top of the base when you either (a) Tap to Pay with Google Pay or Samsung Pay, or (b) spend at listed Visa partner merchants in those destinations. Example: a SGD 100 Tap to Pay spend in Singapore can return about SGD 10.50 total (10% + 0.5%).
- Jetsetter milestone bonus (10%): Unlock a one-time 10% bonus on your first ₹1,00,000 of eligible spends after you complete at least 20 eligible transactions in the select destinations during the campaign. This stacks on top of the tiers above.
The 0.5% base alone is modest. The Tap to Pay / partner merchant boost is what makes the maths interesting—roughly 10.5% campaign value on those spends. Add the Jetsetter bonus for heavier travellers and the effective return on the first ₹1L of stacked eligible spend can approach ~20.5% campaign value, subject to the ₹50,000 per-card cap and the official T&Cs.
That campaign value sits on top of your card’s own rewards programme—it does not replace forex markup maths. A high-markup Visa card can still lose to a zero-forex Mastercard even after Power Travel.
Visa Partner Merchants
The extra 10% partner path is available at several popular merchants across the select destinations (as commonly listed for the campaign):
- Singapore: Grab, Klook, Gardens by the Bay, Universal Studios Singapore, Lotte Duty Free (Changi), Mustafa Centre, Resorts World Sentosa, Skyline Luge Sentosa, Oceanarium
- Thailand: Grab, Klook, King Power Duty Free, Gourmet Market, Safari World Bangkok
- UAE: Klook and Bolt rides
- France, UK, USA & Vietnam: Klook
Only in-store purchases qualify at most merchants. Online hotel bookings generally do not count unless booked on an explicitly allowed site (for example, some Resorts World Sentosa direct bookings called out in T&Cs). Always check the live partner list before you rely on a merchant for the 10% boost.
How to use it
- Confirm you hold an India-issued Visa consumer debit, credit, or prepaid card.
- Register / track on visapowertravel.com as directed in the campaign FAQ.
- Spend in the listed destinations during 20 April–30 September 2026.
- Prefer Tap to Pay (Google Pay / Samsung Pay) or listed partner merchants when you want the +10% layer.
- If you are chasing Jetsetter, plan for 20+ eligible transactions and the first ₹1L bonus window.
- Redeem Amazon or Air India gift cards in ₹1,000 blocks, watching the ₹50,000 per-card cap.
Caveats
- Only the seven listed destinations qualify—not every country on your itinerary.
- Some MCCs and transaction types are excluded in travel campaigns; ATM rules and POS rules differ in the PDF.
- Partner lists and “in-store only” rules can change—screenshot the merchant page if you are borderline on a big ticket.
- Bank reward points and Visa campaign value are separate ledgers.
- Forex markup on your card still applies; net the campaign rebate against markup before you celebrate.
