Google AI Mode now shows points and miles for flights and hotels

Google’s AI Mode in Search can now show the cost of flights and hotels in points or miles, not just cash. Ask for a trip in plain language and, for supported programmes, you get live award rates from the partner—then follow the link to finish the redemption on the airline or hotel site. Google announced the feature on 27 August 2026.
Google is displaying partner-supplied award rates. You still complete the booking on the airline or hotel site. This first wave does not include Maharaja Club, KrisFlyer, Qatar Privilege Club, or Marriott Bonvoy.
Which programmes are live
| Programme | Type | Status |
|---|---|---|
| American Airlines AAdvantage | Airline | Live |
| Alaska Airlines / Hawaiian Airlines Mileage Plan | Airline | Live |
| Hilton Honors | Hotel | Live |
| Wyndham Rewards | Hotel | Live |
| Choice Privileges | Hotel | Live |
| Accor Live Limitless | Hotel | Coming in the next few weeks |
| Flying Blue (Air France–KLM) | Airline | Coming in the next few weeks |
| World of Hyatt | Hotel | Coming in the next few weeks |
| LATAM Airlines | Airline | Coming in the next few weeks |
| Lufthansa Group (Miles & More) | Airline | Coming in the next few weeks |
Points and miles rates are globally available in supported AI Mode locations and languages. Some of the depicted travel features are not available in EEA countries and territories.
How to try it
- Open AI Mode in Google Search and describe the trip: cities, dates, and the programme you want to burn.
- Example for flights: “I want to fly Atlanta to Miami using my AA miles. Find nonstop options departing 9 Oct and returning 12 Oct.”
- Example for hotels: “Show Hilton Honors points rates for a two-night stay in Dubai next month.”
- Compare the miles or points shown against cash, then follow the partner link to complete the award booking on the airline or hotel site.
Why it matters for India travellers
Indian cards rarely transfer into American Airlines or Alaska. Hilton, Wyndham, and Choice are also niche here. The programmes worth watching on this list are the ones already in Indian transfer graphs: Accor ALL (HSBC, Maximize, and similar paths), World of Hyatt, and Flying Blue. When those three go live, AI Mode becomes a faster way to peek at award rates before you transfer bank points.
- Do not transfer points today just because Google can display a rate. Confirm space and the live award price on the partner site first.
- Treat AA / Alaska / Hilton / Wyndham / Choice as useful if you already hold those currencies from US trips or cobrands—not as a reason to start collecting them from an Indian card.
- Maharaja Club, KrisFlyer, Privilege Club, and Marriott Bonvoy are not in this launch set. Keep using airline and hotel tools for those.
The other two AI Mode travel upgrades
Google also folded Google Flights price tracking into AI Mode—ask it to “track these flight prices,” confirm, and you get an email if fares move. That tracker is in more than 180 countries and territories, excluding the EEA. Separately, hotel booking inside AI Mode (room type, cancellation policy, Google Pay) has started in the US in English with Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and others. Marriott and IHG are on that cash-booking list; they are not yet on the points-and-miles list. In-conversation hotel checkout is not the India story; award-rate lookup is.
Who should care
Useful if you already sit on AAdvantage, Alaska, Hilton Honors, Wyndham, or Choice balances and want a faster award search than opening five tabs. More useful in a few weeks if you transfer Indian card points into Accor ALL, Hyatt, or Flying Blue and want a Google-native peek at what a stay or flight costs in points. Skip it if your stash is Maharaja Club, Avios, or Bonvoy—those programmes are not in this wave.
